St Peters Church Floor Tiling Chertsey

St Peters Church in Chertsey was redesigning its interior so that the space could be more flexible and used by community groups for yoga, line dancing and much more. As with most old churches, the interior had fixed pews and three aisles running from front to back.

Removing the pews and putting a new floor down meant the three aisles would need retiling and to add an extra level of difficulty, three new access ramps were required to be tiled too. Some of the old floor tiling would remain so it was important to use traditional coloured tiles to match the colours as closely as possible and lay them in a similar diamond pattern.

Designing the pattern so the ramps looked perfect was tricky, but everyone was extremely happy with the finished results which can be seen in the photos below.

This job had to be completed over several weeks, as different parts of the church floor and ramps were being worked on, but I’m quite flexible with bigger tiling jobs like this and can fit other smaller kitchen tiling and bathroom tiling jobs in around it.
