This client in Farnborough has now had the whole ground floor tiled over a few different jobs. They have underfloor heating, and you need to ensure your tiler has the necessary experience to lay underfloor heating tiles correctly, to get the best performance out of both your heating and your tiled floor. Changes in temperature experienced with underfloor heating can cause tile & grout cracking, but I’ve been tiling for many years and am an experienced underfloor heating tiler and can prevent these problems.
My client loves the look of wooden floors, but a porcelain tile conducts heat better and is more durable than wood, so these porcelain plank tiles were ideal.
My first job was to latex the floor, as latex is a self-leveller. Then it was a relatively simple task of laying these lovely 1200 x 200mm wooden look plank tiles.
