Kitchen Floor & Splashback Tiling Leatherhead

This large kitchen refurbishment project involved two separate visits. The first was to complete the floor tiling after the old kitchen had been removed and before the new kitchen units were installed.

Underfloor Heating Floor Tiling

I carefully removed all the old tiles from the 80m2 floor, aware that there was water pipe underfloor heating below. I then added a layer of Durabase matting over the underfloor heating before re-tiling with large 900mm x 600mm porcelain tiles. As an experienced floor tiler, I know this will give the best, long-term results with an underfloor heating system.

Herringbone Tiling

The second part of the job, was the kitchen splashback. The client wanted a herringbone design, so I planned the design to give the best aesthetic with the mid-point in the centre of the hob. This style can look amazing once finished, but it takes an expert kitchen tiler to ensure it looks balanced across the room.
